Just spent about a half hour with my new ES. What can I say ? It's all my original Motif was and even more. It sounds fabulous.. Megavoices are very playable.. Yes, they will take a little getting used to, but I'm already used to altering my strike and attack to control velocity based on a few user voices I've experimented with in the past.

Oh .. I'm lovin' this one already..

You go AJ . . .
BTW, I just had a chance to look at your converted styles for the PSR series, very nice, and I am using one on a song I'm trying to record right now!

Keep it up!

And I have spent the past few hours playing your old Motif 6 that I just received today. I will be giving it a very a good home AJ. I'm glad to hear that you are happy with your new Motif ES.

Glad to hear it Nigel. I'm happy that it arrived and that you are enjoying it. The ES has a very similar OS to the original, with a few minor fixes I noticed immediately ( including one that concerns the plugins that I could have lived without, but it's ok either way ), so I can work with it just fine. I know the OS has been a complaint for a lot of new users, and I would agree too, but like anything else, it does make some sort of sense once one gets the hang of it I think.

Jill,

So cool. Glad if they are helpful to you. I may do a few more before my 2000 is gone. Once it goes, then it is hard for me to do them so that they will sound good on a PSR.

AJ,
2 thumbs up and congrats which one did you get? I know you'll enjoy yours probably more than I do mine, because you love to tweak.

I wanted the 7 but had to go with the 6 Terry. I plan on taking this thing with me occasionally, and the 7 just isn't a good fit in either my Kia Sportage or my Firebird. I'm loving it yes. Tweaking ? Definitely, but for now there is so much going on in here that I'm just getting used to the preset stuff. The arps are very good and actually useful. Sounds are fantastic..
